Yuppie, there’s an extremely good news for all Sony Xperia PLAY users who have been frustratingly waiting for an official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for their Xperia PLAY because Sony has just released a beta Android 4.0 ICS ROM for Xperia PLAY, which will at least let you have a quick experience of using Ice Cream Sandwich on your Sony Xperia PLAY. Since it’s just a beta ICS ROM, it has some disadvantages too, for example : it doesn’t have support for Wi-Fi as well as Google Services – including Gmail, Google Maps, Google Reader, YouTube etc.

As of yet, this latest has not yet been made available for the general public i.e. it currently won’t be available via KIES application, since it’s just a beta version, which is released by Sony, especially for developers.
