I guess around 40-50 percent of facebook users still want to revert their timeline to their old facebook profile .I don’t know why users hates this timeline feature, personally i like this new feature . It gives a whole new look to our profile in a magazine style .You can add a timeline cover of your choice , can highlight or hide your activities .Few days back i wrote about theremoval of your Facebook timeline .In that post i explained in brief ’How to remove Facebook timeline ‘ .But Now in this section i will specify the easiest step to remove your Facebook timeline on any browser whether it is Google chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.Now with these steps which i will be going to mention later in this post you can revert back to old Facebook profile .
You can easily disable your timeline by installing an extension/add on in-to your browser .There are several extensions available in different browsers like ‘TimelineRemove ‘, ‘Facebook Timeline Remover & Disable ’ , etc .Just by installing these extensions into your browser you can disable your timeline .Please Note that Facebook Timeline is a server side feature .By installing the extension you cant permanently disable/delete your timeline .Only you would be able to see your old Facebook profile while others still can view your timeline .

Timeline Remover For Google Chrome Users :
Google chrome users can disable their timeline just by installing an extension into their browser .
- Open your Chrome browser .
- Download the Timeline Remove Extension here .
- Download the Extension and install it .
- After Installing the extension , either refresh your browser or restart your chrome browser .
Timeline Remover For Mozilla Firefox Users :
Mozilla Firefox users can disable their timeline just by installing an Add-On into their browser .
- Open your Firefox browser .
- Download the Timeline Remover Add-On here .
- Download the Extension and install it .
- After Installing the extension , either refresh your browser or restart your Firefox browser .
IF the above Add-on [Mozilla Firefox] doesn’t works for you then follow the alternative method :
- Open Your Firefox Browser , Install add-on User Agent Switcher and Restart your browser .
- After installing the extension the UAS icon will be displayed on the navigation browser . If its not displayed then right click on the navigation bar and tick the “MENU BAR” .
- Now click on the User Agent Switcher button (In tools option) , select Internet explorer –> Internet Explorer 7 .
- Now Refresh Your Browser .
Timeline Remover For Internet Explorer Browser :
Internet Explorer users can disable their timeline just by installing a Plugin into their browser .
- Open your Internet Explorer browser .
- Download the Timeline Remover Plugin here .
- Download the Extension and install it .
- After Installing the extension , either refresh your browser or restart your Internet Explorer browser .
Timeline Remover For Safari Users :
- Open your Safari browser .
- Download the Timeline Remover Plugin here .
- Download the Extension and install it .
- After Installing the extension , either refresh your browser or restart your browser .

Have FB destroyed the remover form Mozilla Firefox it worked wonderfull, but today they forced back the TIMELINE horrible to force people to have it as it should be optional
it was remove half an hour ago on all of us who removed it…..grrrrrrrrrrrr really bad of them who done it

Thanks for informing us .i have updated this article with an alternative solution through you can revert back to your old Facebook Profile .
The timeline remove for Firefox worked great when the system was rebooted, but on the next reboot it reverted back. Anything I can do to just keep it without reinstalling each time, that would be a pain. Thanks.
May be your add-on got disabled . enable it again !

Rahul, every time i try to download the app it doesn’t do anything, then when i try again it says “safari cant open Timelineremove bc it has been removed since you downloaded it.” then i clear it and try again and it says there is an error. Can you help me?

1. first go into the “Preferences” menu
2.select “Advanced”
3. Tick the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” option
4. Exit the preferences menu.
Now click the page icon menu (next to the cog wheel icon) then select the “Develop/User agent” menu .
After that choose the useragent you wish to use for the current website you are viewing. Select Internet Explorer 7.

Just Disable the extension or remove the extension completely .
For Google chrome – click on the wrench icon (settings) –>Go to tools and click on extensions , there you will find the timeline remove extension either disable it or remove it .
For Mozilla Firefox Remove the add- on . Tools –> Add-ons –> Remove it
Hello Mr. Mehta. Thank you for your help in devising ways to get around Timeline. I had a similar fix through FB Purity. But facebook finally wised up and closed the loophole. My problem is that I run Opera as a browser here in Asia due to slower and less reliable connections. Is there a way to apply your fix to Opera? Thank you for your consideration.

Enter “opera:config#ISP|Id” into the address bar (URL bar).then enter the custom user string “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0 ) “ and then click “Save” .
Restart Your browser .That’s it !
Hi…I am having some facebook issues with not being able to edit my pages. There is no “edit” button or option. It was there before–with the timeline blocker. I am fairly confident that it is a facebook issue, but I need to remove the blocker temporarily so I can see it in timeline and edit my page…I see the edit button there in that split second before the blocker kicks in.
So….I just need to know what program to look for and how to remove it.
